Bunk Beds Design

Bunk Bed Designs

Kid's furniture comes in a wide variety of designs, styles, colors and shapes. The kids love the concept of bunk beds. It is a fascination for them to sleep and play in bunk beds with their siblings or friends.

Bunk beds can save on space and also make the room look more neat and tidy. However, bunk bed tends to dominate a room, so choosing other furniture can be a challenging task.

Before buying bunk beds the following points should be kept in mind:

Bunk Bed Bunk Bed Sizes: Bunk beds are available in different sizes. Out of all, twin over twin size is commonly used. The most basic bunk bed configuration stacks one twin-size bed directly above a second twin-size bed, with room for a person to sit upright. ‘L’ shaped bunk beds can also be chosen which feature one bed perpendicular to the other. But these beds take up more floor space than the traditional ones.

Bunk Bed2 Bunk Bed Styles: The most popular design is the classic bunk bed style of two platforms stacked on top of one another and joined by a ladder. The loft bed has beautiful style, featuring a top bunk with either a ladder or a slide to exit the bed. The lower level sometimes features built-in shelves or desks, but you may want one with more space for adding a bottom bed.

Bunk beds can also be designed with a study table or a dresser. This not only makes the bunk bed look appealing but also saves on space in the kid’s room. Some bunk beds can also feature storage space in the lower bed.

Bunk bed finishes: Bunk beds generally come in a natural wood finish, although some modern, lighter versions are made of metal or even plastic. Pick the color or wood tone that fits in well with the design of the whole room. For eg.a white bunk bed would look pretty in a bedroom decorated with light colors, like pink or light blue, while a bunk bed in a darker wood tone would feel more masculine.

It is very important to keep the kids choice in mind before buying the beds for their room. Ask them of their choices or the particular theme in which they want to decorate their room.
