Care Instructions for Artificial Leather

Artificial leather is a fabric or finish that is produced as a substitute for leather to be used in upholstery, clothing etc. It comes to use where a leather-like look and finish is required. Synthetic leather is often used in the fashion and upholstery industries for a wide variety of items, including shoes and jackets, luggage and wallets, car interiors, particularly seats, electronics cases and sofas. Artificial or synthetic leather is durable, stain resistant and cost effective.

Below are stated some tips that will help in caring and maintaining artificial leather:

• Take a suede brush and wipe off the dirt off the product. Remove as much dirt as possible and wipe the item with a dry cloth.

• Take mild leather shampoo and dilute 1 teaspoon in 2 cups of water. Immerse the leather in the soapy liquid, and then squeeze it out so it is thoroughly damp but not dripping. Blot and wipe with a sponge or cloth of any remaining dirt or stains on the item.

• Let the product air dry completely.

• Don't put the product directly under the sun or dry it with heat as this can damage the artificial leather.

• Apply a protective gel or leather conditioner to the item to prevent it from drying out or cracking.
