Dressing table is perhaps the most important furniture of bedroom after the bed. It lets you dress your best and also gives you a place for storage for your cosmetics and other beauty products. A perfect dressing table will have a big mirror and shelves for providing storage space.

Generally dressing tables are kept in the bedroom in the most lighted corner but some households have separate dressing rooms which have large dressers with cabinets. Dressers come in a wide variety of designs and should be chosen keeping the size of the bedroom and other furniture in mind.

Various types of dressing tables are:

  • 1. Dressing table with stools - To make dressing a convenient and easy task, dressing table with stool can be added to the bedroom furniture. One can easily sit and apply make-up and dress in front of the mirror. The stool height should be such that it keeps the mirror at eye level.

  • 2. Dressing tables with wall units - Some dressers come within a wall unit. Most ideal for contemporary set-ups, the mirror comes attached with panels with hanging hooks, drawers and open shelves. The dresser has ample space to store cosmetics, toiletries and other stuff. The hangers can be used to hang accessories like ties, scarfs or bags.

Sometimes when the space is less, the mirror is just fixed on the wall and wall shelves are used for storing essentials. Choose dressers according to your bedroom size and decor. Read here to know how to arrange furniture in your bedroom.
