Why Include Feng Shui in Your Life

Why Include Feng Shui In Your Life

Fengshui is a Chinese philosophical system of harmonizing everyone with the surrounding environment. FengShui means "wind-water" and helps individuals understand the connection between their internal lives and their physical surroundings. With the right fengshui tips, one can make clear improvements in their life and create positive energy, or interaction with the environment, through a more relaxing home and garden atmosphere.

Below are listed some points that will help in revitalizing your life:

  • Clear up all the Mess in Your House: Get rid of all the clutter in the house and sell or give away things that are not required. Once you're rid of the things that are obstructing the flow of energy in your home, you can get a clear picture of your home's fengshui interior and design. FengShui decorating is easier to achieve in a clean, simple home. The forces work better in an uncluttered area.

  • Welcome Nature to Your Space: Open the doors and windows and let the fresh air come in. Clean air and clean water is fundamental to healthy energy, so invest in buying an air purifier and a water filter. The furniture should also be well arranged so that the energy can reach each and every corner of the house. Avoid energy from gathering in corners with plants, full-spectrum lights, wall sconces or candles and accessories. It is also advisable to hang a mirror in your main room to double the calming, reflective light, but one should not hang it opposite the front door.
  • Make a FengShuiBagua Map: Diagram your home as true to scale as you can on a piece of paper to work on each FengShui room separately. If your house has multiple stories, diagram them separately. The next step is to find the center and reorient the map so the main entry door is at the bottom. Divide the space into nine boxes. Each box represents a major aspect or aspiration in your life. From left to right, label the nine sections with these titles: wealth and profit, fame and reputation, love and relationships, health and family, spirituality and well-being, creativity and children, wisdom and knowledge, career, helpful people and travel. The fengshui placement map will reveal areas in which your energy flow is cluttered, misaligned or neglected. For example, if you're having trouble at work, focus on the career section to create a fengshui home. You can use the same fengshui placement method to map smaller spaces, like your office.
  • Surround yourself with colors: In fengshui design, colors are formed by the five elements on which fengshui is based. For ex. For the living room, to promote learning and communication use of blue and green color is advisable. If you'd like your office to be a reflective area, choose metallic fengshui colors like white, grey, silver or gold.
